Lifting Gear Inspection

Lifting Gear Inspections are carried out and documented according to statutory, class, and company requirements. Mostly in accordance with LEEA best practice & Lifting operation & lifting equipment regulations (LOLER) act. All our inspector and engineers have extensive experience with the necessary external and internal approvals to perform the periodic inspection/control according to valid requirements to the specific equipment in its type or category. Approved procedures and checklists covering the scope of work of the specific inspection will be used and the results will be documented and client’s system when applicable.

The periodic inspections performed by STIC (RAIM) are based on relevant equipment standards and the manufacturer’s instructions for use which typically includes:

• Verification of documentation, certificates, etc.

• Maintenance and equipment history

• Condition control (including marking)

• Non Destructive testing

• Measurement of wear and tear

• Wire rope sheave and wire rope inspection

• Wire inspection visual or MRT non-destructive testing according to ISO 4309

• Use of lifting appliance in relation to design lifespan and assessment needed for initiating lifespan analysis
